THE STORYTELLER
I grew up with parents who believed every story should be told on a front porch, every problem could be solved over a plate of biscuits and prayer, and every stranger was just a friend you hadn’t fed yet.
So I suppose becoming a storyteller was inevitable.
I’m a Southerner through and through, with a husband who’s an Air Force veteran, two fully grown daughters, four grandkids who are not spoiled at all (ha), and three grand-dogs who most definitely are.
I’m not particularly good at hobbies—unless you count shoe shopping, going to the beach, and eating chocolate, which is my love language. For years, I’ve also helped people buy and sell homes, a job that has introduced me to more characters and stories than I could ever invent.
I like to write about ordinary Southern people whose lives turn out to be anything but ordinary.
And if I’ve done my job right, somewhere along the way they’ll start to feel a little like people you know.
